The colourful festival of Punjab ‘Teej’ celebrated in the campus premises of Aryans Group of Colleges near Chandigarh on Saturday.

The famous Punjabi ‘Bolian’ were recited on which ‘gidha’ was performed by girl students to welcome ‘Savan’, the month of rain. Wearing traditional dresses, girls dance on the beats of ‘dhol’.

She said the celebration of all such festivals and functions not only provide joy, but were also a way of reviving and keeping alive the traditions and customs which are vanishing these days.
