Saupin’s -32 U-17 Boys team did the school proud by clinching the Gold medal at the finals of the Inter-School Chess Tournament conducted by the UT Education Department. Saupin's defeated St. Kabir convincingly by 3-1 to emerge winners.
Manit Kapil claimed the Gold medal in the U-14 Boys while Aarush Grover U-17 Boys won a Silver medal in the Inter-School Taekwondo Championship organised by the UT Education Department. About 20 schools from the tricity competed.
Meanwhile, the Saupin’s Film club bagged the 2nd prize trophy for their film “Ab-Bass” in Cine Maestro Take 3 a film festival organised by Chitkara. Around 20 schools from the tricity participated. The cinematography, production, acting and direction was handled largely by the children.

To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education, Chandigarh celebrated Janamashtmi with great mirth and zeal. Students of class V presented a special assembly.
The children dressed up as Lord Sri Krishna, Radha, Gopikas and other various characters. They beautifully depicted the life history of Lord Krishna. The celebration was truly educating and entertaining. The Chairman, Arvind Mehan and the Principal, Garima S Bhardwaj blessed the students on this auspicious occasion.

Students dressed in colourful costumes gleefully participated in the celebrations. They enjoyed taking turns on floral bedecked swings, dancing to the music and enjoying sweet goodies, which were distributed to them. Special educators recounted anecdotes and stories from the life of Lord Krishna.
Senior Principal Vineeta Arora and Vice Principal Suparna Bansal interacted with the students and took part in the celebrations.

To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at The St. Teresa Convent Sr. Sec. School with mirth and joy. The fragrance of flowers, soothing aroma of camphor and the jingle of bells filled the air. While this religious importance is not lost, this day signifies a lot more to modern India, it signifies excitement, euphoria and a joyous spirit of enthrallment.
To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty. St. Teresa Convent School took the opportunity to both jubilate and learn with the young minds. The tiny tots of mont section dressed up as lord Krishna and Radha, complete with flutes, peacock feathers and matkas. The premise was decorated beautifully. It was more interesting as students watched spiritual movie. An interhouse activity was conducted for rest of the classes which included decoration of matkis, posters etc.
The purpose of the flamboyant celebration was to inculcate value of sharing and respect in the students. On whole students enjoyed the day with great zeal.

Annual Inter School Poetry Recitation Competition held at Saupin's 32 Chandigarh
Saupin’s 32 hosted its Annual Inter School Poetry Recitation Competition organised by “Wordsmiths” the English Literary Club today. This year was dedicated to the illustrious poet of the century Y.B. Yeats who was awarded a Nobel prize for literature in 1923.
30 schools from the tricity participated in the event. The eminent judges for the event were Ms. Rinnita Singh an author and journalist, Dr. Meenu Aggarwal Gupta who has several books and literary research to her credit and Miss Mansi Jawrani, an international English trainer (Punjab University).

A team of dentists from the Dental Wellness Center, Chandigarh along with senior interns from Sri Sukhmani Dental College, Dera Bassi conducted a dental checkup for children of Classes I to V at Saupin’s 32.
They taught them the proper technique of brushing their teeth and emphasized the importance of oral hygiene.

Play Group kiddies performed colour crushing activity whereas Nursery & KG classes did colouring in national flag as a file activity.
KG class beautifully performed grain & pulse activity in national flag as a group activity. The celebration culminated with a beautiful rhyme by nursery class, that exhibited little ones love for country.

The students of Sri Aurobindo School, Chandigarh celebrated the 73rd Independence Day of India which also coincides with the birth anniversary of the legendary freedom fighter, Sri Aurobindo Ghosh, with great enthusiasm and respect. Children sang Sanskrit verses ‘Bhavani Bharti’ composed by Sri Aurobindo, while school rock band presented patriotic songs in tribute to martyrs who sacrificed their lives for free of the country.
School Chairman Arvind Mehan and Principal Garima S Bhardwaj unfurled the flag and urged children to rise above caste, colour, class, religion and unite in peace for progress.

The area in Orlando(a city in central Florida), the best part was the view of amazing cloud formations. While going for my shift I saw these two birds and I was attracted towards these two birds and I standstill to capture their beauty. And the result can be clearly seen in these images. Significantly, these birds were not in the zoo or any bird conservatory, but were just outside my living apartment".

Film will feature Himesh Reshammiya and Sonia Mann in lead roles
Sonia Mann will mark her debut in Bollywood
Romance has always been the backbone of Bollywood movies and this time the music king Himesh Reshammiya is coming with the biggest romantic film of the year ‘Happy Hardy and Heer’. This film will feature Punjabi beauty and talented actress
Sonia Mann in the lead role. Recently, the makers of the film released another romantic track from the film titled ‘Heer Tu Meri’.
Himesh Reshammiya and Anusha Mani have given their vocals to the song. The lyrics of the song are penned by Himesh Reshammiya himself. And the cherry on the cake is the soulful music of Himesh Reshammiya.
The video of the song is shot at the beautiful locations of Scotland and chemistry between both the leads is a treat to watch.
With this film, Sonia Mann will mark her debut in Bollywood. Prior to this, she has already featured in biggest Punjabi videos of singers like Sidhu Moosewala, Jordan Sandhu and Raftaar. She has also done a special appearance with Bollywood Greek God Hrithik Roshan’s Marathi film, Hrudayantar.
Apart from Himesh Reshammiya and Sonia Mann, Naresh Suri, Manmeet Singh, Deep Mandeep, Ashwin Dhar, Sejal Shah, and Tripti Khamkar will play pivotal roles. ‘Happy Hardy and Heer' is directed by Raka. The whole project is produced by Deepshikha Deshmukh and Sabita Manakchand. The dialogues of the film are written by Bunty Rathore and Sonia Kapoor Reshammiya has written the screenplay.
The trailer of the film will be released soon and the film will hit the theatres in September.

Onset of monsoon brings the festive era in the Northern part of our country. The kindergarten students of The British School celebrated monsoon festival ‘Teej’ with great fervour.
The children were told about this festival and the way it is celebrated.
The educators arranged dancing session for the children. They enjoyed tapping their feet on traditional beats. The celebration was fun filled with local traditional songs which gave a reflection of our culture and heritage. The little ones had fun on swings. To add sweetness to the celebration the children had brought traditional sweets in their tiffin.

Smiling Kiddies Playway School celebrated 'Teej' with festivity & zeal. Kiddies were dressed up in traditional Punjabi dress & looked amazingly good. The school was very well decorated according to theme. Little girls had fun while getting henna applied on their hands whereas boys performed bhangra with lots of energy. They enjoyed traditional sweet ghevar also. Play Group kids decorated swing as their file activity. Nursery class kiddies pasted leaves in kalash beautifully & KG class kids performed thread pasting activity in one string instrument Ektara. The excitement of the little ones was the best part of the day.
