No respite from Chilly Weather ; Temperature dips to 4 degree ; Cold Wave will continue

The chilling winter waves of this season has broken the records with a dip in temperature to 4 degree celsius due to which the residents and commuters find it difficult to commute on roads during morning office hours. The same happens during late evening and at night. The addition of dense fog with cold winds added more trouble this morning with a low visibility. This leads to slow moving traffic and also cause severe accidents on highways.

The more difficult situation is being deal by cyclists and rickshaw pullers who has to drive physically to reach their respective destinations.

As per Meteorological Department Chandigarh, the minimum temperature recorded today was 4 and maximum 11 degree celsius. Moreover the department suspects more cold wave in the coming days with light rain, thunderstorm and hail. Although the much awaited sunshine was enjoyed by residents throughout the day, however the same freezing weather conditions will prevails and people have to brave the  same in coming week.
On the contrary, residents are seen protecting themselves in various ways which not only includes wearing warm clothes but also covering each part of body to confront frosty winds. Moreover people also try to keep themselves warm by sitting/standing besides bonfire.

Students get hands on experience under Atal Innovation Mission at St. Teresa Convent School Panchkula

Under ATL, children of all classes are provided training for subjects of Science, Technology, Maths, Engineering in a  hands on manner.

The students of Class XI bid a hearty farewell to their beloved seniors on at Forest Hill Resorts, Nayagaon. The showstopper of the event was the ramp walk as dapper boys and graceful girls elegantly walked the ram. The much awaited results were then declared with the title of Ms Bhavan won by Shreya Talwar of XII A2 and the title of Mr Bhavan being awarded to Udayveer of XII A2. Avnika Bahuguna of XII A2 was declared Ms Elegant while Angad Bawa of XII B won the title of Mr Dashing. Vishar Malik of XII A2 was declared Mr Handsome whereas Anjali Bhardwaj of XII C1 won the title of Ms Charming.

Tiny Tots Preparatory School celebrated Christmas

The festival of Christmas which inspires the spirit of sharing and caring was celebrated at Tiny Tots Preparatory School sector 38 Chandigarh with enthusiasm. The school was fully decorated with colors of Christmas. Children were dressed in red and white depicted as little Santas.
Teachers along with children sang Christmas carols to celebrate the day with fun and frolic. The significance of the festival was explained to the students through the Christmas story.

Soaking in the spirit of Christmas tiny tots of Modern Early Years celebrated the festival with enthusiasm.
The school was beautifully decorated and everybody was dressed in red and white (Santa’s favourite colours). The students sang melodious carols and danced beautifully to wish their teachers and classmates.

The significance of the festival was explained to the students through the Christmas story.
It is a favourite time of the year involving partying and feasting. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children.

Saupin’s School 32 reverberated with Christmas carols and jingles to usher in the spirit of Christmas. Students decorated their class rooms with hand crafted holly leaves and bells. The little ones exchanged greetings, cakes and candies with each other and the story of Christmas was narrated to them. The Christmas tree glittered with dazzling decorations. A visit by “Santa Claus” made the day a memorable for the little ones.

Saupin's 32 staged their annual production "Oliver" by Chales Dickens at Tagore Theatre to a packed house. The play was directed by Neha Bakshi Kaushal and Siddharth Kaushal. The story narrates the struggles of an orphan Oliver. The good in Oliver triumphs over adverse circumstances and the story ends on a happy note.  A live choir, beautiful choreography and tremendous performances by the budding actors brought the play to life and held the audience rapt till the end.

Annual concert concluded at Oakridge International School Mohali

Oakridge International School presented an amazing show at  Tagore Theater, sector -18 Chandigarh. Beautiful costumes, excellent dances and amazing theatrical presentation mesmerized the crowd .The continuation of the theme ‘Dharohar - A legacy of values’ with the adaptation of the popular Shakespeare story ‘The Merchant of Venice’ was witnessed in a bigger way. The show started with the school band playing songs like Game of thrones theme soundtrack, Radioactive, Waving flags and many more. Vikas Luthra, Yash Paul   graced the occasion.

It was a fun filled day with entertainment and excitement, a day that provides an excellent platform for the children to unleash their talent. Principal of the school  Ramanjit Ghuman  briefed the audience the philosophy of the school, inculcation of life skills and value based education, global citizenship and plethora of activities conducted in the school. She further added that Students of today must explore the heights beyond sky if they want their dreams to be true in  this competitive world.

Birth of Lord Jesus celebrated at St. Xavier's High School Panchkula

To celebrate the birth of Lord Jesus, a Nativity play showing the birth of the lord was staged at St. Xavier's High School, Panchkula. The students dressed up as Joseph, Mother Mary, Shepherds, and the three wise men and sheeps participated with great enthusiasm. The students enjoyed the play and celebrated the birth of the Lord. The school choir sang Christmas carols and filled the atmosphere with melody and celebration.
