Chandigarh, July 17
To celebrate the true spirit of festival of Teej, a mehndi competition was held at Ajit Karam Singh Inetrnational Public School in sector 45 of Chandigarh on Monday. Trends, tradition and history associated with the festival were celebrated through speeches and poems. To create a festive atmosphere, foot tapping dance was performed by the students.

Students of AKSIPS-45 after taking part in Mehndi Competition on Monday.[/caption]Students of classes 9th and 10th took part in Mehndi competition in which Vrinda, Gungun and Cherish of class 9th secured first, second and third positions respectively whereas Bharti, Anjali and Ayushi of class 10th bagged first, second and third prizes respectively. Director Principal Dr. Jamine Kalra congratulated the winning students.
