The chilling winter waves of this season has broken the records with a dip in temperature to 4 degree celsius due to which the residents and commuters find it difficult to commute on roads during morning office hours. The same happens during late evening and at night. The addition of dense fog with cold winds added more trouble this morning with a low visibility. This leads to slow moving traffic and also cause severe accidents on highways.

Chandigarh, September 14 2018
As the season of festivity begins, the artists at Kalibari Temple located in sector 47, Chandigarh started creating Idols of Lord Ganesha while working day and night. The marvellous creation of these artists can be clearly seen in the Idols in which they put life to the mud with combination of colours.
We come from Kolkata specially to design these Idols and when our work finishes, we return back every year, as told by the artists while giving final touches to the art. The main artist and owner of place Khokan Adhikari said that we make the Idols of not only Ganesha but we make all kinds of Idols, also deals in electric jhankis.
Speaking further he said, these Idols are made of clay, cement, POP and fiber, but for the purpose of immersion we uses mud and clay only which easily gets dissolve in water during the ritual. When asked about the number, he told that we have yet made more than 250 Idols of Lord Ganesha of different sizes which are being purchased by local residents to celebrate the occasion.
More will be created as per demand or till day of Ganesha Visarjan, he added.
