Around 200 students of The British School, Panchkula, celebrated Sports Day. Chairperson of The British School, Urmila Sethi graced the occasion with her presence and declared the Sports Meet open.
The parents were welcomed with songs and flower drill by the children. The event was a mélange of music, drills and races. The Fun and Frolic drill of LKG children and the exercise using frames was captivating. It was wonderful to see the kids with the spirit of friendly competition. With an overload of innocence the children participated in the races. The little bunny race, jumpy the frog, alphabet race, thread the pasta were the races where the children showed great spirit and agility with buoyant heart.
To keep the sportsmanship spirit alive Director of the School, Geetika Sethi and Principal of the School, Anita Mehra awarded the winners.

In the little bunny race Aadamya Saini won the Gold medal, Nimit Rana won the Silver Medal and Viraaj Sodhi won the Bronze Medal. In the ‘Jumpy the frog’ of Nursery ( FY1)Tvisha and Riyansh Srivastava won the Gold Medal, Rudransh Gupta won the Silver Medal, Kiarra Taneja won the Bronze Medal. In the Race ‘ TBS Rocks’ of class FY2 A ( LKG A) Rehanshi Paul won the Gold Medal ,Amyra Walia won Silver Medal and Krittika won the Bronze Medal. In the race ‘Stack the Rings’ of FY2 B ( LKG B)Aaryan Chandok won the Gold Medal, Mansiret Kaur Saini won the Silver Medal and Hirday Wadhawan on the Bronze Medal. In the Pendant Race of FY3 (UKG), Drishti Nandan won the Gold Medal, Kavya Mehta won the Silver Medal and Aarnik Sharma won the Bronze Medal.
The Sports Day is incomplete without the Parents’ contribution. Parent of Avlokit FY 2B won the Bronze Medal, Parent of Tanisha FY 2A won the Silver Medal and Parent of Ayra FY 1 won the Gold Medal. The children showed great spirit and agility with buoyant heart.
