Participating in Taekwondo has been a constant feature for the students of Ashiana Public School of sector 46, Chandigarh. From the past many years, as the students are performing so well but this year a great pride moment comes after the students bagged Gold and Silver medals participated in 11th World Taekwondo Culture Expo and Championship 2017 which was held in Taekwondowon, Muju in South Korea.
The International event held between 13th to 20th July where 25 members from Chandigarh represented India competed in the competition. The event consisted of two fold Poomsae and Fight Kyorugi. Students Sabreen Kaur and Daman kaur were awarded with Gold and Bronze medal respectively whereas Ishpreet Saini bagged one silver and one bronze medal. The children were appreciated and applauded for their exemplary performance at the event making it a mark for the others to behold. The school Director and the Principal admire the team spirit and efforts put forth by the students in bringing laurels to the country as well as to the school also. The trainer Satyapal Negi and his entire team of Negi Taekwondo Tigers Academy (NTTA) were highly appreciated as well.
