Panchkula, February 20 2018
Around 30 students of the Playway Class of The British School, Panchkula visited the green grocer in the vicinity.
Students were told about how the grocer sells fruits and vegetables in his shop. The children were excited to recognize all the vegetables. They happily recited the rhymes they had learnt in their class. They were able to relate to all the different colours of the fruits and vegetables.
Students were sensitized on the importance of healthy food in our life and how fruits and vegetables play an important role in our diet. They were also told that these are available in a variety of forms, and all of them count for good health.
School Principal, Anita Mehra said, “These outings provide a platform to educate the children outside of the school premises. They learn by actually watching the things and enjoy the visits as well.”
