Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology organized an Industrial Visit for its MBA and BBA students to Mahindra & Mahindra (Swaraj PTL Divison), Mohali. Industrial Visit was attended by as many as 150 students. Students were given valuable insight about the history of Mahindra and Mahindra as well as the various plants all over India by Deepika ,HR executive ,Mahindra & Mahindra.
Later, Students were explained about engine processing unit works. Students were given in-depth insight of Machine Shop, Heat Treatment Shop, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Unit, Small Scale Assembly, Large Scale Assembly, Paint Shop and Final Inspection unit. It was a intriguing experience for students to practically see the manufacturing process .Queries of Students were also answered .
J.S. Bedi, Chairman, GJIMT said that students were introduced to different steps and technologies involved in the manufacturing . Such practical exposures help students in better understanding of theoretical concepts. The knowledge of engineering students should not be limited to only classroom lectures. They need industrial exposure and witness how technology takes twists and turns for a better future.
