Chandigarh, February 02, 2018
The 10th R.F Saupin Memorial Football Trophy 2017-2018 in collaboration with Chandigarh Football Association commenced today. A total of 5 matches were played on Day 1.
The Saupin’s 32 and Saupin’s Mohali put up an impressive show by beating their opponents Tribune Model and St Xavier’s 44 by 1 and 4 goals respectively. Jaskirat Kaur of Saupin’s 32 scored the winning goal, while Gurnoor Kaur of Saupin’s Mohali scored 3 goals in a row. Simarpreet Kaur also scored a goal.
The match between St Joseph’s and New Public School ended in a tie with each side scoring 1 goal. Ansi Arora of St Joseph’s and Areena of N.P.S 18 were the scorers. Sacred Heart outshone Kids R Kids and won the match by 2 goals. Swati and Drishti were the scorers. Vivek High Chandigarh beat N.P.S 18 by 1 goal which was scored by Manasvi.
