Chandigarh, February 13, 2018
Saupin’s School, Sector 32, Chandigarh staged its home production “Aladdin” at Tagore theatre on Tuesday. The play was directed by Neha and Siddharth Kaushal. Students from Class V to XI participated in the play. The play revolves around Aladdin, a poor street urchin who spends his time stealing food from the marketplace in the city of Agrabah. Aladdin retrieves a magic lamp from the cave of wonders and meets a genie. He meets a young princess named Jasmine through the genie. Then begins a magical tale of adventure, love, courage and more.
It was a grand show with a good script, captivating music, beautiful sets and elaborate costumes. The school choir provided the much needed melody.
