Chandigarh, October 26 2018
A much awaited play, ‘The Boy Who Lived', a mega production which was directed by Neha and Siddharth Kaushal staged by students of class 3 to class 12 of Saupin’s School, sector 32, at Tagore Theatre in sector 18 of Chandigarh on Thursday. The Idea Box revolved around the life of a young orphan -Harry, who gets an invitation from Hogwarts and finds himself in the magical world of witchcraft and wizardry.
The part played by each one of them was worth a watch. Manit Gupta and Jaanvi Nodiyal as Harry and Hermione respectively stole the show. Anshul Gupta as Ron, Anshviraj Singh as Albus Dumbledore, Harit as Voldemort, Sameeksha Malhotra as Aunt Petunia, Ishaan as Vernon, Adeesh as Dudley and Gaurav Sarkar as Quirrel and Raghav as Hagrid left the audience spellbound with their amazing performance.
Beautifully choreographed dances were liked by one and all. The school choir, trained by Vineet and Gurpreet Singh added the haunting music. The melodious and foot tapping numbers
completely enthralled the audience.
It was an evening that transported the audience to an altogether different world of magic, wands and spells. The elaborate set created by the Art teacher Siddharth Vaishnav was a sight to behold.
The play was a complete package of suspense, laughter, excitement, colour and much more.
Principal Surita Sharma congratulated the students for their effort and praised them for their acting skills.
