Students Visit and Veteran Photojournalists honoured on second day of PJWA Photo Exhibition on World Photography Day

The second day of Photo Exhibition which is being organised by PJWA(Photo Journalist Welfare Association) to celebrate World Photography witnessed the students from Saupin’s School sector 32 who visited to see the huge collection of photography art by various Photojournalists.

They were amazed to see different photography subjects, forms and variety of work exhibited. They even asked questions from available participants to know more details and depth of photography. A group of Senior Citizens from Mohali also visited and shared their valuable views and praised the work. Apart from this the Chief Guest of the day, Balbir Singh Sidhu, Cabinet Minister of Punjab while having a look to the displayed work, shared his views about almost every picture. He even shared his own experience related to few of the photographs.

The main attraction of the event was to facilitate Veteran Photojournalists for their long duration of wonderful work while working with respective Newspapers.

Honouring with Lifetime Achievement Award to TS Bedi, RP Sharma, Parvesh Chauhan and Pradeep Tewari (for being a Doctorate Degree Holder), Balbir Singh Sidhu praised the work of participating Photojournalists. He said, “An artist lies in every photographer and it is his own creative mind to generate such environment in the photographs”. Not only this he also spoke about artistic values in photography and how a creative photograph need patience and dedication to be on the frame. While concluding his words, he congratulated all for their active participation. In the end, President of Association Akhilesh Kumar along with other members honoured the chief guest.
