Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri celebrated Teacher’s Day with great pomp and show. The function started with glorious tributes paid to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan by teachers. Teachers who obtained 90% to 100% results in the PTU examinations and others who made commendable contribution towards the growth of this college in various fields were honoured. The teachers honoured on the occasion include Vinod Dhull, Ms. Sonia Verma, Ms. Sukhmeet Brar, Ms. Rimanpal Kaur, Ms. Salony Tuli, Ms. Ramandeep Sandhu, Dr. Sarabpreet Kaur, Ms. Sonia Bhukra, Mr. Sunny Puri, Mr. Amrinder Singh Sandhu, Ms. Kamaljeet Kaur, Ms. Nancy, Ms. Ramanjot Kaur, Ms. Rupinder Kaur, Ms. Rajender Arora, Ms. Harpreet Kaur,Ms. Sonam, Ms. Preeti, Ms. Mandeep Singh, Ms. Monika and Mr. Anshul Pardesi. Ms. Manju Rawat, a trainer in the Department of Pre Placement Training. The novelty of these celebrations was that all items on stage like songs, dances, mimicry, skits etc were presented by the teachers and the students were the audience. Fashion Show presented by the teachers was the main attraction of the day. Based on various rounds, Mr Harvinder Singh and Ms SonamWere adjudged as Mr. CGC and Ms. CGC respectively.
Speaking on the occasion Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that teachers play a great role in building career and caliber of young students. He congratulated the teachers for their tireless efforts put in by them to shape the future generation .He compared teachers to the creators ,second only to God He later , thanked them for their unconditional dedication towards institute .
Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General congratulated the teachers for their excellent contribution towards academics, sports and other co-curricular activities in the college.Dr. Bansal added that CGC Jhanjeri is known for Academic Excellence & Quality Placements due to the hard work and sincere efforts of its teachers and the students.
