SBI constructed Shed and donated computers to UHTC

State Bank of India, Chandigarh LHO constructed shed and donated Computers and wheel chairs to UHTC & School at Indira Colony, Mani Majra, Chandigarh
State Bank of India Chandigarh LHO constructed shed on waiting area of Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC) Indira Colony Mani Majra and donated 3 Fans, 2 ACs and 12 Chairs for the convenience of the patients. On an average, UHTC has approx. 80 to 100 OPD patients per day. The residents of the area have welcomed & appreciated these donations and construction of shed by the Bank.

SBI Ladies Club, a non-profit making club of wives of officers and senior executives of State Bank of India which is engaged in undertaking various activities and doing various charitable events for the upliftment and self-reliance of cross section of the society was also associated with the Bank in the event. Rashmi Singh, the president of the SBI Ladies club and other members of the club interacted with the patients and staff of UHTC. Singh applauded the working and dedication of the doctors and the staff working at UHTC. She also planted a sapling in UHTC premises, in the presence of Dr. J.S. Thakur, Professor and Head of Deptt. of Community Medicine PGIMER, Chandigarh to promote the message of Green India, Clean India. SBI also donated 10 computers to Govt. Model High School, Pocket No. 8, Mani Majra, Chandigarh for the students of the school for getting computer education. The Bank donated 2 wheel chairs to the differently abled students for continuing their studies. The wheel chairs were handed over to the needy students by Smt. Rashmi Singh, President of SBI, Ladies Club. She assured the principal of the school of the continued support by SBI Ladies Club and the Bank and wished all the students a very bright future.
