St Teresa Convent School Panchkula celebrates Independence Day

The 72th Independence Day was celebrated with great gusto, patriotic
fervor and profound devotion by the students of St. Teresa Convent
School Panchkula. Principal and Vice Chairperson of school hoisted the
National Flag and was followed by a powerful rendering of the National
Anthem. A special assembly was conducted by the ‘Aura House’ students. School presented mélange of patriotic activities which created an atmosphere of National pride. Children were dressed up in costumes portraying personalities like Mahatama Gandhi, Bhagat Singh & Subash Chandra Bose.
The school students sang various patriotic and National songs such as ‘Vande Mataram’,’Vijay Vishwa Tiranga Pyara’, ‘Pyraa Pyara mera Desh.’ The hall resounded to the mesmerizing tunes of ‘Ae Watan…Mere Watan… aabaad rahe tu….,’. The highlight of the programme was the Play enacted by the class IX- X students on ‘What does Independence Day mean to young people now? The school was decorated with tricolor ribbons, balloons & flags. The song & dance in praise of our country by the senior students instilled a sense of pride & patriotism in every ‘Teresian’. 
The ceremony concluded with speeches by the school Administrator and Principal. They addressed the school on matter of importance for students. As the principal Shelley Chugh took to the stage the echo of her slogan ‘Jai Hind’ filled everyone’s heart with patriotism.
