The British School, Sector 8 and 12, Panchkula, have been, for more than a decade, providing a caring environment to the young toddlers as they step into their pre-primary years. Mornings begin with a short and sweet circle time which includes music and movement, then comes outside time. Outside time is a priority as it promotes exercising, socializing, sharing, taking turns, co-operating and problem solving. Phonics is taught in a playful manner. The class educator reads rhyming books, poems, nursery rhymes and involve language play.
Math is hands on and play. Blocks, crayons, tiffin boxes and more. objects found in the classroom are used to teach counting, grouping, shapes and much more. Rangometry is quite popular with both students and parents.
