Panchkula, May 12 2018
A State Chess Championship in association with Haryana State Chess Association organized at St. Teresa Convent School, Sector-25, Panchkula. The competition is a three day event. The day started with the Chief Guest, Dr. R. C. Mishra, ADGP Ambala lighting the ceremonial Diya and seeking the blessings of Goddess Sarswati.
Dr. Mishra motivated the players by telling them about the developing a 'Killer Instinct' which comes only with developing both the physical and mental acumen. He advised participants to eat wholesome food to ensure a wholesome growth of body and mind.
Dr. Mishra was felicitated by Director, A. L. Chopra, Principal, Shelley Chugh, Chess and Carom Association General Secretary Harish Sharma and Naresh.
More than 300 students are going to participate in the three day event in age categories of U-9, U-11, U-15 and U-19.
