Around 100 mothers participated on this day which was filled with a variety of activities for the mothers and their kids. Dr. Mankirat Murara, Deputy Civil Surgeon, Health Department, Panchkula, Haryana graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The other judge was Archna Sethi, special correspondent, Punjab Kesari, Haryana. The third judge was Dimple Bhandari, owner of the city’s biggest salon ‘Naomis Headmasters’ of Panchkula.  Another successful entrepreneur, Pooja Aggarwal, owner of a Coffee cum Bakery, Baker’s Lounge, Panchkula was the judge in one of the events.

The day started with sweet dishes being made by the mothers. A variety of desserts were seen where the mothers put in their best with the help of only five ingredients. The enthusiastic participants surprised everyone with their culinary talents by preparing mouth watering delicacies. Entries were judged on the basis of creativity, nutrition, taste and presentation.
Children were excited to be playing the game with their mommies. Mothers, all decked up in beautiful attires, according to their theme of Ramp Walk, were seen enjoying the day to the fullest. Handsome boys with their mothers, dressed in western attires, walked the ramp and enthralled everyone. They walked the ramp with great pride and charisma. Cute little girls and their mothers wearing Wedding outfits captivated everyone as they showcased their talents. The little models endeared the audience with their adorable looks and dresses, which was yet enhanced by various other elements like the stage setup, light effects and last but definitely not the least… foot-tapping music in the background.
The day was well spent with the mothers enjoying the day with their children. Mothers and children left us amazed with their stage-comfort and competitive spirits. The young munchkins stole everyone’s heart by their expressions.
Mommies post the activities, thanked the teachers for the love and warmth their children receive from the school’s end. They said that teacher is like the child’s second mother who takes care of him in the school.
Chief Guest, Dr. Mankirat Murara, Deputy Civil Surgeon, Health Department, Panchkula, Haryana spoke to the mothers and told them that Mother’s Day is a celebration of motherhood. She also said, “If we look deep into the concept of Mother’s Day, we will realize like many others that each and every day ought to be a Mother’s Day. They are relentlessly performing their duty towards ensuring and working towards the well being of their children day-in and day-out. So the children need to be more sensitive and grateful for this fact and thank them every moment of our lives.”
Speaking on the occasion, School Director, Geetika Sethi said, “Mothers hold a special place in the hearts of children. These programmes give an opportunity to the mothers to spend some time with their babies and to indulge in some ‘Me’ time.”
