School News Network
Panchkula, May 29 2018

During the ongoing Summer Camp at The British School, Sec-8 Panchkula, children learn to beat the heat by cooking up some delicious dishes without using gas or ovens. Ingredients like cucumber, mint leaves, yoghurt, boiled moong beans, lemon juice, basil seeds all having cooling nature were used to make charts, salads, and mock tails. The children were encouraged to taste these healthy and lip smacking tasty dishes. Abir Singh and Atharv Sharma relished the bug’s bunny sandwiches while Bhavya Bisht found the channa chat to her taste. The School Director SanjaySethi said, those children who are fussy eaters at home easily try new dishes in their own peer group. This is a great social activity which combines healthy eating with child friendly no fire cooking recipes.
