World Forestry Day Celebrated at GGSCW-26

On the theme "Save Forests, Save Earth", World Forestry Day was celebrated by 'Vasudha', The Environment Society at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women in sector – 26 of Chandigarh. Students enthusiastically participated in various competitions like Paper Reading, Slogan Writing, Rangoli Making and Face Painting contests.

Students participates in face painting competition during the event at college premises.

Dr. Jatinder Kaur, Principal of the College expressed that "The forest is an organism of unlimited kindness and benevolence that makes no demands but gives generously to all beings, so we all must pledge, on this day, to save our green cover". Lucky Malhotra, Incharge of the Environment Committee along with the other members thanked the Principal with a bamboo plant.
