Panchkula, March 03 2018

Around 200 students of The British School, Sec 8 and Sec 12, Panchkula visited Chokhi Dhani as a cultural treat before the Final Exams. Students were excited and enthusiastic to go on the picnic with their peer group. They were accompanied by their teachers. The colorful Puppet Show transported the children into the world of valiant Kings, beautiful princesses and all powerful magicians. Live shows and enthralling performances captured the interest of the children and the teachers as well. They were spellbound by the tricks of the magician. Students were awed with the brave artist who balanced himself on a bamboo without the protection of a safety net beneath.
The students enjoyed the yummy food and spent the day playing games and taking rides.

Principal of the School, Anita Mehra said, “The Indian Culture is being restricted to the villages in today's e-world. It is our humble endeavour to bring the culture, traditional folk music and dance to give the children a glimpse of our rich cultural heritage. Here they can learn a lot about Rajasthan and its culture, the people, their art and the food.”
