SBI appeals to use Digital Banking to avoid Corona Virus

During this pandemic of corona virus, Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Chandigarh Circle appeals to the customers of the Bank to remain in their houses so that the spread of this deadly virus can be prevented. He has requested all the customers that only in unavoidable circumstances only, step out of your homes. Also for your banking needs, the customers can use Bank’s digital platforms like Internet Banking and YONO app which helps in making banking transaction to customers of any bank, anytime. Also with the use of its YONO cash feature, the customer is not required to carry any card to the ATM for withdrawal of cash.

He stated that by following abovementioned guidelines, the crowd in the branches can be reduced which will benefit both; the customers as well as staff members of the Bank. Customers having accounts under PM Jan Dhan Yojna and have received money under Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Yojna in their accounts can contact  Customer Service Points (CSPs) of SBI who are also helping the people in withdrawal of cash. Infact, some of Bank’s CSPs are providing banking service at customers doorsteps by way of providing cash withdrawals at their houses. Singh also stated that Jan Dhan Account holders can use their RuPay Cards at ATMs for  withdrawal of cash and need not visit the Bank branch for this purpose.

He also stated that SBI is committed to replenish all ATMs on an ongoing basis so that customers can withdraw cash anytime. Since social distancing and proper hygiene is the only way to prevent ourselves from corona virus, all the customers visiting banks are requested to kindly wear masks and use sanitizers before entering the branch or ATM premises and maintain social distance with staff and fellow customers. The CGM also informed that State Bank of India at many places is running its Mobile ATM, vans to facilitate withdrawal of cash by the citizens.

State Bank of India has always been in the forefront and will always be so in the service of the nation.
