A multi- faceted kaleidoscope 'NAVRASS' was presented to celebrate 13th Annual Day function of St. Joan’s Public School Zirakpur, at Tagore Theatre Chandigarh.
At the outset, the founder and chairperson of the school Shanta Nayyar unwrapped the milestones achieved by the school commencing on a devotional note with the Bhakti Ras, the dances presented by the girls thoroughly enthralled the audience by their graceful and rhythmic movements. The Veer Ras was accurately depicted through a play where unparalleled courage of Rani Lakshmi Bai and her team of women warriors was shown. Prem ras vividly elaborated the parental love and family values.
Children threw light on the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, Mother Theresa, Gautam Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi through Shanti Ras. Hasya Ras amply threw light on the hypocratic and fraudulent Sadhus and Babas of the present times.
The most memorable part of the function was the presentation of Shingaar Ras which again consisted of rich, radiant and vibrant dances. Other performances depicted KARUN RAS, BHAYANAK RAS, ADBHUT RAS.
The celebrations concluded with the note of thanks by the director of the school RK Nayyar. The show was a great success and appreciated by one and all.
