Tree plantation drive was organized by St. Xavier's High School, Sector-20, Panchkula. Plants were procured from the forest deptt. and planted opposite the Community Centre near the Petrol pump.
Students of Class IX, along with the Principal, Vice Principal, Sr. Vice Principal, Jr. Vice Principal and Coordinators participated in the drive with great enthusiasm and zeal. They planted trees which would bear fruits in the near future like Mango, Indian Gooseberry and Blackberry. All students and teachers pledged to plant and take care of at least one tree in and around their vicinity.
Principal, George S. Shear appreciated the eco club and the Haryana forest deptt. for taking this initiative and quoted - He who plants a tree plants a hope.
