Chandigarh, July 14 2018
Horticulture Division of Panjab University organized a plantation drive at Laxmi Bai Hostel for girls. About hundred plants were planted of different varieties. DSW (Men) Prof Emanual Nahar was Chief Guest on this occasion while DSW (women) Dr. Neena Caplesh presided over the occasion. Dr. Kamla, Warden Hostel, expressed that it was satisfying that we were able take this noble task for the betterment of environment.
Er. Anil Thakur apprised that this was his duty to serve his university and he has much to do in coming days. On this occasion a felicitation ceremony was organized by Horticulture Division under his leadership. About fifteen participants were felicitated while five were awarded with positions in the following manner:
First : Vishnu Verma
Second: Malkiat C Sidhu and Rajesh Khurana
Third : Rajneesh Sharma and Manju Verma
The position were declared for a photo contest ran by Horticulture Division judged by Navtej Singh, Jeesu, and Dr. Arun Bansal of Natural Biodiversity from PU.
