“Taste a Rainbow” activity held at The British School Panchula

The students of Play way and Nursery Class were joined by their mothers and guardians in their school room for a healthy eating activity titled” Taste a Rainbow”. The children said a prayer and welcomed their parents into the classroom. Shaurya Dang and Aarohi Jain of Play way identified the different fruits and vegetables and their colours. Ranvir Chugh, Aradhak, Yahvi and Ananya spoke about the nutrition factor of colourful fruits and vegetables. 
The activity focused on the benefits of eating a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables. The mothers plated the colourful fruits and vegetables in appealing manner to tempt their little ones’ taste buds. The Director Mr Sanjay Sethi appreciated the presence of the parents and said that such activites help the little kids to how the colourful fruits and vegetables help them to grow strong and healthy. Students learnt how a salad made of fruits and vegetables can help them fight off disease.

Students brought Laurels to The British School Panchkula

Students of The British School, Panchkula brought laurels to school by winning in 3rd Bal Vidhya Skating Tournament which was held in Skating Rink, Chandigarh and Road races at Lake Sector 42, Chandigarh. More than two hundred fifty skaters participated from various academies and states.
Tarushi Gaur won Gold medal in 100 Meter Road Sprint race and Silver medal in 1000-meter Road race. Yash Gambhir won Silver medal in 1000 metre Rink race and Bronze medal in 500-meter Rink race. They were presented with medals and stoles as mark of winning.
School Principal, Anita Mehra congratulated the winners.

Smiling Kiddies celebrate Blue Colour Day

Blue Colour Day was celebrated at Smiling kiddies playway School Zirakpur with great enthusiasm. Kiddies came dressed in different shades of blue. They were introduced different shades of blue through the different decorated objects in school corridor. 
The little ones of playgroup class scribbled in water drop with written message “Save Water” on it. Nursery class Kiddies performed Thumb painting in the Whale. KG class drew and coloured blue colour object. All the kiddies were overjoyed and thrilled to see the blue colour everywhere.

Saupins’s 32 student Gurinder Pal Singh of Class XI was declared the Best Debator out of 32 participants in the Inter School Debate Completion held at Shemrock Mohali. The topic for debate was “Are Digital payments safe enough for Indian Economy to go Cashless?”
Saupin’s 32 U-14 girls of the Chess club participated in the Chess Tournament conducted by UT Education Department. They won the Silver medal after beating Shivalik Public School, St Kabir and Carmel Convent.

Free Self Defence workshop for Schools

An international self defence instructor Jaswant Singh
is offering free workshop for the school students to teach and train them with self defence techniques. Having an experience of around 11 years in the field of self defence Singh wants to train especially girl students for their safety during any emergency situations.
“As we are well aware that children are the soft targets and girls are more targeted to crime and harassment in almost every sector of society, with our self defence techniques, they can be more alert and can tackle any kind of situation whenever or wherever needed”, as told by Jaswant Singh. He further added that in the present scenario girls or women both must know basics of self combat techniques which will surely help them throughout their lifetime.

Aryans Group celebrates Teej at its Campus

Dressed in the traditional Indian wear with music and dance, witnessing the festivity and vibrancy, female staff and students celebrate Teej at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh. Participating in various colourful activities on the occasion, girls sang beautiful cultural songs “Lok Geet" and made the environment totally melodious.
Present on the occasion, Director, Aryans Group, Raman Rani Gupta talks about the significance of the Teej festival. She said that by participating in such traditional festivals we stay connected to our rich cultures, traditions and heritage. Other items like Giddha, dances and Punjabi folk dances and forms made the occasion more colourful and meaningful. 
Dr. Raman also appreciated the efforts of the girls and said that the celebration of all such festivals and functions not only provide joy, but were also a way of reviving and keeping alive the traditions and customs which were vanishing these days.

Ancient Egypt concluded at Saupin’s School Chandigarh

A week long exhibition on 'Ancient Egypt' was concluded today at Saupin's School 32 in Chandigarh.
Sanjay Tondon President BJP (Chandigarh) was the Chief Guest on the closing ceremony.
While looking at the exhibition and interacting with students, Sanjay Tandon remarked that he felt blessed by the pantheon of Egyptian Gods and extended his congratulations to the teachers and students for bringing the ancient civilization to life.

E-DAC workshop held at St. Teresa Convent School Panchkula

With an aim to introduce the two new projects i.e, 'Proud and Delighted Parents' and 'I teach', E-DAC conducted a workshop at St. Teresa Convent School in Panchkula. Through these initiatives E-DAC had intervene the overall growth and involvement of learners. The event gathered the staff of school. In the beginning of the workshop Mrs. Deepa acknowledged the implementation of the two concepts and how it will work.
'Proud and delighted Parents' is the initiative to show the parents about learning process of their wards. Under this the students facilitated with the different batches to appreciate their efforts and keep them motivated. 'I Teach' is the second initiative which helps in developing skills, building of concept
understanding, and ability to express. It includes different activities through which the learners understand the concepts and repeat those activities at home with their parents.

RGI organized Farewell Party at its campus

Rattan Group of Institutions accorded a warm send-off to the final year students of B.Sc. 4th  year, Post Basic B.Sc. 2nd year, ANM 2nd year, GNM 3rd year & M.Sc. 2nd year Students. The farewell party was celebrated with fervor on the college campus. Miss Punjab 2017  Hashneen Chauhan and Harleen Kaur makeup and grooming expert were the guest of the day.
 Students perform various cultural items like Bhangra, Himachali Dance, Kashmiri Dance, Punjabi Dance. The main attraction of the programme was modelling by the students of final year. They walked down the ramp with music in the background and rocked the stage. The evening saw the crowning of Harkawal as Ms. Farewell whereas Ashish Kumar as Mr. Farewell. Pratiba Soni was selected as  Ms. Charming and Aruna was selected as  Ms. Personality. Winners were awarded with bouquet. The final year students also reminisced about the past and thanked their teachers for grooming them to face the challenges of life

Edition 2 of Connect Net Champs - a program that addresses Internet Security among school students – kicked off its 9th session on Cyber Security at The Akal Academy School, Chunni Kalan. The session included a thrilling Quiz contest for students. Two candidates were shortlisted for the next round from the school.
In an interactive session with the expert, children at the school learnt various nuances of the internet world. Topics of discussion included the potential risks related to internet and how to avoid these, exposure to inappropriate material, harassment and bullying, physical molestation, legal and financial, viruses and hackers. Additionally, important guidelines were imparted on how children can avoid online risks, rules for online safety, and how to be a smart internet user.

NSS volunteers and College students participated in the talk which focused on correct hand washing technique by WHO. The lecture was followed by Swachchta Oath. College Principal Dr. Jatinder Kaur encouraged the students to follow hygiene in their daily routine for healthy lifestyle.

Tie and Dye activity held at AKSIPS 45

Students of SUPW club of Class X had hands on experience with colours and cloth during cold tie and dye activity using fabric paints. 

Students made beautiful handkerchiefs and dupattas using fabric paints, threads and coins etc. Director-Principal Jasmine Kalra appreciated the young Artists.



Vanmahotsav begins at The British School, Panchkula

Rajinder Kumar Meena Deputy Commissioner Police,Panchkula, planted a sapling in the premises of The British School, Sector 8, Panchkula to give an auspicious start to the Vanmahotsav 2018 observed every year by planting 1100 saplings in and around the school campuses in Panchkula. Urmila Sethi, Chairperson, The British Schools, gave her blessing by watering the sapling. The school had invited the grandparents of the students to participate in the yearly ritual. The children presented group songs, skits and dances to celebrate the arrival of monsoons. Naman Popli, Archisha Sood, presented a presentation to highlight healthy habits to be observed during the rainy weather. Rabaani Kaur, Divyansh Sharma, Samaarth Bhasin, Angad Singh Kushwaha and David presented a skit informing the audience about importance of staying hydrated during the humid weather. The grandparents took a nostalgic journey back to their youth as they had to guess popular musical numbers from yesteryears from their signature music. Rajinder Kumar Meena appreciated the efforts of the students and motivated them to save the planet earth by planting trees and keeping our surroundings clean. 
Sanjay Sethi, Director, The British School, Panchkula presented a memento and a mango sapling to the Deputy Commissioner, on this occasion. The grandparents were also gifted saplings as awards for the musical quiz. Director- Principal, Geetika Sethi conveyed her warm regards to the grandparents who act as the large shade giving trees where all family members gather for shelter, advice, love and care.

OSSA wins over Saupin’s with 6-2

Saupin’s 32 organised a football match of OSSA (Old Saupin’s Students Association) vs Saupin’s 32. Children participated enthusiastically. The score was 6-2 in favour of OSSA.

The first half saw Ramitpal Singh of OSSA scoring two consecutive goals in the 5th and 7th minute while Navneet Singh of Class 9 scored in the 29th minute.
Ossa took a clear lead in the 2nd half. Pranshu, Rubal, Pukhraj and Rampal scored goals in the 32nd, 34th, 55th and 59th minute.


Gurnoor Singh of Class 10 managed to edge in a goal in the 45th minute but the match ended in a win for OSSA.

Rain party held at Smiling Kiddies Playway School

To beat the heat of the summer a Rain Party was held in Smiling kiddies playway school Zirakpur. Kiddies were looking winsome when they started dancing to the thrilling music which infused the atmosphere with energy and fun. 





The garden was joyfully resplendent with colourful balls, rings, bright umbrellas and water sprinkles. Playgroup kiddies made their first paper boat. Nursery kiddies pasted cotton in clouds. This party helped  kiddies to understand and love nature.

Lions And Lioness Club Premiere Panchkula in associated with their youth wing Leo Club tricity organised an Eye Camp, Dental Camp, Tree Plantation, Art Competition , Diabetic Checkup Camp and Karate Championship at New Angel Public School, Zirakpur. The Eye Checkup for students was conducted by Lion Dr. S.S. Bhamra (President). 
The Dental Checkup was conducted by Dr Pradeep Kaur. Tree plantation drive was conducted where students and staff born in July month were felicitated by CHIEF GUEST N. K SHARMA (M.L.A, DERABASSI) .The Karate Championship students were felicitated by Guest Of Honour Lion Raman Gupta with trophies and medals. Winners of Art Competition were awarded by Lion Parwinder Singh. Members of Lions and Lioness Club Premiere Panchkula were felicitated by Principal Sharanjit Kaur.

Cleanliness Drive held at Maharishi Dayanand Public School

Under Swacch Bharat Summer Internship, students of GGDSD college sector 32 organised a cleanliness drive at Maharishi Dayanand Public School in Daria Chandigarh. During the drive, an animated movie was shown to students to aware about using toilets. They were also taught about using different dustbins for different types of waste. While concluding the drive, students took the cleanliness oath to keep the surroundings clean and hygienic.
